This week's challenge:

This week, I will take stock of what is truly important to me and think about how I can convey my thoughts and feelings about it to others.

It’s hard – perhaps impossible - to think of a compelling speech that is devoid of passion. Being passionate is showing strong feelings or beliefs, and it’s easy to see why it is part of the Boldness character strength – passion drives action. If you are passionate about something, it doesn’t matter what others say – you feel compelled to act. The root for passionate means, “to suffer.” Can you think of something you care so much about, it makes you ache? That is passion.

Avoid being Antagonistic (Overuse): Being passionate about something is one thing, but when you find that you are passionate about something to the point it is creating conflict, it’s time to take a step back. That subtle shift makes a not-so-subtle shift in energy – from fervent to hostile... and away from exerting positive influence.
